InventoryBuy list

Buy list

The buy list shows every variant that needs reordering, how many to buy, and what the order will cost at your Shopify unit cost.

At the top

Three totals: Variants to reorder, Units and Cost. Cost uses each variant's unit cost from Shopify, so add costs in Shopify to make the total complete.

Columns

ColumnMeaning
AvailableStock available to sell at the locations you count.
IncomingStock on its way, from Shopify transfers and purchase orders.
Sells / weekThe blended sales rate (see How inventory planning works).
Runs outWhen stock runs out at the current sales rate.
LeadThe lead time used for this variant, from its vendor or the store default.
BuyThe suggested quantity.
CostBuy × unit cost.

Urgency

Use the urgency filter to narrow the list to Runs out within the lead time, the variants that will sell out before a new order could arrive, or Out of stock now.

Don't reorder

Some products shouldn't come back. Click Don't reorder on a row, choose whether it applies to this variant or every variant of the product, and pick a reason: Discontinued, Seasonal / one-off, Vendor can't supply or Other.

The variant leaves the buy list and appears on Inventory › Rules, with who added it and when. Remove it there to start suggesting it again.

Export

Export CSV downloads the list with your current filters applied, ready to send to a supplier. The Stock and Overstock pages export the same way.

Sending purchase orders

On a purchase order, Print opens a clean copy to print or save as a PDF. Under the summary, Send emails the order to the vendor, to the address saved for them in planning settings or one you type in. Their replies come to you.

Transfers

Inventory › Transfers suggests stock to move between your locations: where one location has run low on something another location has more of than it needs. Shopify doesn't say which location sells what, so each location is planned to sell an equal share. Make the transfers in Shopify, or download the list as a CSV.
