Inventory planning New
Reorder before it sells out
Relvello reads your Shopify sales and stock to tell you what to reorder, how many to buy, and which stock is sitting on the shelf. No spreadsheets, no separate app, and it's included with every store.
How it decides
Math you can check
No black box. Every suggestion comes from three numbers you can see on the page: how fast a variant sells, how much you have, and how long a reorder takes to arrive.
-
1
Sales per week
A blend of the last 4 weeks and the last 13, so a trend shows up without one odd week taking over. New products use their own age as the window.
-
2
Supply
Available stock at the locations you choose, plus incoming stock from Shopify transfers and purchase orders.
-
3
Reorder point
Reorder when supply covers less than your lead time plus safety stock. Buy enough to cover the weeks after it arrives.
reorder when supply ≤ sales per week × (lead time + safety)
buy sales per week × (lead time + safety + cover) − supply
Every variant, one status
See what needs you today
Each variant gets a plain status, so the overview can point you at the handful of products that need attention instead of the thousands that don't.
- Inventory value at cost, and weeks of supply at current sales
- A "needs attention" list on the overview
- Filter stock by vendor, type, status or SKU
- Export the stock, buy and overstock lists to CSV
- Out of stock
- Nothing available to sell.
- Reorder
- Supply won't last through your lead time and safety stock.
- Watch
- At the reorder point, but stock already on the way covers it.
- Healthy
- Enough stock, and selling.
- Overstock
- More weeks of supply than you want to hold.
- Stale
- In stock, but hasn't sold in a long while.
Planning settings
Plan the way you buy
Start from a preset and change it when you know better. Every setting applies the moment you save.
-
How much stock to keep
Lean, Balanced or Well stocked: from one week of safety stock and four of cover, up to four and twelve.
-
Lead time by vendor
One lead time for the store, and a different one for any vendor that ships slower or faster.
-
How quickly to react
Steady, Balanced or Quick to react decides how much the last four weeks count against the last thirteen.
-
When stock is too much
Patient, Balanced or Strict sets when stock counts as overstock, and how long without a sale makes it stale.
-
Never reorder
Mark a variant or a whole product as discontinued, seasonal or unavailable, and it leaves the buy list for good.
-
Choose your locations
Pick which Shopify locations count toward stock, and whether incoming stock counts as already ordered.
Questions
Inventory planning, answered
Does Relvello change my inventory in Shopify?
No. Planning reads your products, stock, locations and orders. Relvello never changes your catalog or stock levels, and it doesn't place purchase orders for you.
Where does the stock and sales data come from?
From your Shopify store. Stock refreshes every 6 hours, sales every hour and the catalog daily, and you can ask for a refresh from the Data page at any time.
Are returns taken off the sales rate?
No. Planning treats sales as demand, so refunds and returns still count. Cancelled orders and removed line items don't.
Does it cost extra?
No. Inventory planning comes with Relvello, using the same store connection as merchandising and search. Relvello is free during early access.
